Through the Electron Looking Glass

Professor John Drennan

Electron microscopes reveal the detail of all manner of material, down to the atomic scale. From exploring the minerals that make up the deep earth through to understanding biological cells, the modern electron microscope unveils the microscopic world. Prof John Drennan will cross live to an operating electron microscope to take us on a journey into the microscopic world at magnifications up to half a million times.

John Drennan is the Director of the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis at The University of Queensland. The Centre houses the latest in electron beam technology.
